EMOTIONAL ISSUES AND YOUTH                                                       

Children and teens are often struggling with emotional difficulties (anxiety, anger, depression) that significantly impact their ability to function effectively. These emotional issues are often difficult to identify within the context of a multitude of troubling behaviors.  This workshop is designed to increase the understanding of emotional disturbance (identification, causes & effects) and provide suggested interventions for the emotionally disturbed child.

How can I teach my daughter to be strong and confident? Find out about the common stereotypes of girls and how they affect them daily.  Learn specific ways to empower girls at home and in school.

 

ETHICS TRAINING:

Early Identification and Mandatory Reporting Requirements Surrounding Child Abuse. (3 hours, SW CEUs):Ethical decision making strategies are discussed and practiced through lecture and group participation methodologies

 

EXPLORING FEELINGS: CHILDREN WITH ANGER             

Gain insight into what angry and rebellious behaviors at home and school are communicating, and learn about the physiological and emotional toll they take on a child. Learn practical methods to zero in on the sources of anger and ideas for intervention.
