1. Where are you located? We have offices in Fort Worth, Bedford, and Mansfield. Please see our Contact page for locations, phone numbers, and maps.
2. What do you do? The Parenting Center provides families the tools to succeed by offering... •Parenting and marriage education classes on more than 60 relevant topics •Counseling services for children, adolescents and adults •Co-parenting classes and services •Case management Please see the Services section for specific details on each of these areas.
3. How do I sign up for services? You can view our Calendar page for current offerings, and sign-up online at our Registration page. Or you can call 817-332-6348 to register for education classes, co-parenting services, and/or to make an appointment for counseling. Case management services are available by referral.
4. How much does it cost? •The fee for counseling is $100, with Medicaid, CHIPS, and most insurance accepted. •Education classes range from $20 for a two hour class to $20 per session for series classes. •Co-parenting classes range from $40-$60. •Consultation and mediation sessions range up to $150 per person. •Twogether in Texas classes are generally free but can cost up to $175 per couple depending on location. 5. Do you offer services in Spanish? Spanish speaking counselors are available. Some education classes are available in Spanish and all educators welcome interpreters. Bilingual case managers are on staff for all programs.
6. What are the qualifications of your staff? All of our counselors hold a minimum of Master's degrees and current state licenses. Interns working on their Master's degrees see some clients under the supervision of the clinical supervisor. Trained, degreed, and experienced professionals teach Family Life Education and co-parenting classes. Some case managers are degreed and some are paraprofessionals, depending upon the requirements of the program.
7. Do I have to register in advance for classes? Pre-registration is required for most classes. Check our Calendar page to determine if the class you are interested in requires pre-registration.
8. Do I get a certificate for my class? Some class participants receive a certificate. Professionals will receive a continuing education certificate for selected classes.
9. How do I get a replacement class certificate? You can call the Fort Worth location and request a replacement certificate up to two years after completion of the class. There is a $25 determined fee for each replacement certificate issued. It may take up to 5 working days to process the replacement of the certificate.
10. What if I sign up for a multi-session class and can't make all of the sessions? You should discuss your individual situation with the Family Life Education Manager or course instructor.
11. Does The Parenting Center allow late admission to classes? To avoid disruption, admission is not allowed after class begins. Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins for registration.
12. Do you offer childcare? Childcare is not available at this time.
