The Family Transitions Program provides comprehensive support to families raising children between two homes. These services are offered to parents, step-families, grandparents, and children, and include classes, consultation, and mediation.
Services are offered in Fort Worth, Arlington, and Mansfield, Texas. See the calendar or call 817-332-6348 for details.
Classes
Children in the Middle and Kids First, the "co-parenting series," help empower family members to look at their situation from a different point of view, make better decisions as a family, and focus on the most important people in their lives, their children. Through the classes, participants learn not only how to make better choices themselves, but also what professional services are available. Additional co-parenting classes are available. For current classes, please see page 5 of the calendar.
High-Conflict Families
A reduced price package of services to help families focus on their children and learn to co-parent effectively. Designed for families having difficulty resolving issues, the participants develop a co-parenting agreement.
Consultation
Allows the parents to meet with a facilitator to develop their own co-parenting plan. The parents determine how much time the child will spend in each of the two homes, how to involve other family members, and trouble shoot issues to allow continuity for the best interest of the children.
Mediation
An alternate form of dispute resolution that allows the participants to make decisions regarding the children, property, and finances without the necessity of bringing the issues to court.
